About Us

I started Tashi because I knew I wasn’t the only one.

I’m Shannon. I love learning new things, and listening to smart people talk about topics they’re interested in, even passionate about. I’m a self-described “seeker,” meaning that I’m drawn to deep thinkers and resources that give me the chance to examine my own beliefs and habits, and keep doing the work of becoming as authentically “me” as possible in my work, and in my life.

I’m also an extrovert (mostly), and love gathering people who are open to new ideas, curious about themselves, and eager to build community with others who share these traits.

Tashi Yoga & Meditation is a dream space for me. As a certified mindfulness meditation instructor and RYT500 master yoga teacher, I know the present moment is full of gifts, but staying focused on it takes work. As a lifelong book nerd and former English major in college, I’m also in love with the way the written and spoken word can make our individual worlds bigger, and touch our hearts at the same time.

With all these lofty aspirations, I’m also still adamantly human, and a big believer in the unique joys of the human experience. Laughter, joy, pleasure, silliness, big messes, and exhilarating adventures are all part of a life well-lived. We can have all of these and be spiritual beings at the same time. We already do. The question is, are we really experiencing them?

Part of the way we find ourselves is through relationships. Our friends, families, and communities are all our teachers, intentionally or not. We learn by sharing, connecting, disagreeing, and moving forward, together.

I created this space to bring together those of us out there who know there is more to life than meets the eye. It’s an alchemical integration of what we experience, what we believe, and what we allow. By investing in and aligning our intellectual, energetic, and physical selves, we can access the most authentic version of our power, and use it to be of service, both individually and collectively.

I’m really glad you found us. I hope you’ll take a look around, and choose to stay a while. Join our groups convos, drop into a meditation, do some community good in your upward-facing dog. You can also book a one-on-one intuitive coaching session with me here. If you have questions, let me know.

See you soon,

P.S., the word “Tashi” is rooted in Tibetan, meaning
“abundance” or “good fortune.”
